More renewable energy to come to UAE

Masdar is looking at plans to build a massive wind farm in the UAE along the border of Saudia Arabia. The farm, which would be the first in the region, would be specifically made to generate more power from the lighter breezes that are prevalent in the region, rather than the traditional wind farm conditions. The plan is part of the UAE government’s commitment to making 7% of energy consumption come from renewable resources by 2020.
