Going green, literally, at school in Al Ain

The Liwa International School in Al Ain, UAE has made the green movement a part of its foundations, or rather walls. The school embarked last year on an ambitious plan to green the building – covering the walls in plants, installing solar panels on the roof, and reclaiming waste water for irrigation. The results have led to energy savings, greater concentration of oxygen throughout the school and a marked drop in temperature surrounding the building.
