Kenya leading ICT usage in the region

A new survey shows that Kenya leads Eastern Africa in cell phone usage and suggests that consumers in the country might be open to new mobile technology. TNS International, which conducted the survey, found that Kenyans are more likely to buy and use cell phones with smart phone capability. The study also found that mobile internet communications have replaced traditional computer based connections to the internet in Kenya, reflecting the growing capacity of mobile technology across both rural and urban areas.
